Functions of the Committee

1. Meets periodically to discuss important matters, incidences and UGC guidelines on Anti-Ragging
2. Acts as a mediator between the Anti-Ragging squad, administration and the students
3. Prevents incidences of ragging
4. Educates students on the negativity of ragging and inculcates good values which help them refrain from such acts
5. Monitor Ragging activities in the Institution
6. Helps maintain the ethos of the Institution i.e. to make it a “Ragging free campus”
7. Meets students in the students’ assembly and brief them about the Institution’s stand about ragging
8. Organize Programmes to create awareness
9. Gives heed to the recommendations of the Anti-Ragging Squad in the right perspective
10. Takes all necessary measures for prevention of Ragging inside the Campus/ Hostels
11. Considers the complaints received from the students and conduct enquiry and submit report along with punishment recommended for the offenders
12. Publicizes to all students about the prevalent directives and the actions that can be taken against those indulging in ragging.
