About Department

The Department of Master of Business administration was established in 2006 with a aim to develop young men and women into confident and competent professionals capable of working in organized sectors of industry and as entrepreneurs while contributing to the welfare of the society. The department offers two year post graduate programme in MBA with an annual intake of 60 seats. The curriculum for the programme is designed by JNTUK, to give graduates exposure to management skills needed for the creation of specialists who can integrate across functional areas in a dynamic organization. The Program provides a broad perspective of all areas of management.

Programme Outcomes

  1. PO1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems
  2. PO2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences. .
  3. PO3. Design / development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. PO4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. PO5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. PO6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the engineering practice.
  7. PO7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions In societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
  8. PO8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
  9. PO9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

Dr. K. LAKSHMI PAVANI, (MBA, AP-SET, UGC-NET Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor &HoD at Prakasam Engineering College in Kandukur Prakasam dist Andhrapradesh, India. In 2022, she received her Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University's Department of Commerce and Business Administration in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. She received her UGC-NET in Management qualification in 2013. Also received AP-SET in Management from Andhra University in 2012. She has almost 15 years of experience in teaching, and research. She has around ten articles published in national and international journals. She has completed two certificate courses through NPTEL. She provided guidance and support to Numerous MBA students, facilitating the implementation of various Quality projects. Her research interests include employee welfare activities, women empowerment, Hr practices, Her goal for this book is to help students develop the information, abilities, and perspectives needed to effectively manage, lead, and contribute to diverse and dynamic workplaces in today's ever-changing corporate scene.
